ARCTIC OCEAN SWIM SPA
Introducing Arctic Spas Biggest Addition
What is the Arctic Ocean? It can be summed up as a
Family Fun & Fitness Waterpark.
Family Fun - The Arctic Ocean is a big deep
Arctic Spa. It is not designed to take the place of your
current Arctic Spa but to provide another place for your
family to have fun. Many of us are concentrating on
staying home to spend more time with our families
lately. The Arctic Ocean will provide a water
Playground for the whole family. It comes standard
with waterfalls, water fountains, water current jets (you
can boogie board on these jets), and optional
volleyball net and basketball hoop. There are seats for
the ones that want to relax, and the open area for
those being more active. You can add floating
loungers just like a swimming pool. Essentially, this
is a mini swimming pool. With the Arctic Ocean, you
get a swimming pool at 1/3 the price and 10 times as
fun. The Arctic Ocean is 8' wide and 14' long. It stands
at a height of about 59". This is almost 2 feet deeper
than a regular Arctic Spa.
Fitness - The Arctic Ocean also offers multiple
fitness options. The water current jets produce a wave
of water that you can swim against. A standard
Swimming pole, can be use to hold you in place as
you swim. You can swim using any of the strokes
including backstroke. An optional rowing machine is
built in to the Arctic Ocean as well. Plus because it is
has a big deep open end, you can also exercise using
hand held resistance devices. Remember, exercising
in water does not have the harshness on your joints
like other forms of exercise. It provides smooth,
consistent resistance. Because you can control the
temperature of the water, you can exercise throughout
the entire year.
Features - One of the most amazing features
of the Arctic Ocean is that it is a real Arctic Spa. It uses
all the same equipment found on the current Arctic
Spa. Nothing new was invented for the Arctic Ocean, it
is just being used in a different way. You still get all
the options and features of an Arctic Spa such as the
HeatLock system, where the excess heat from the
equipment is used to heat the water. In fact, with the
testing that was done over the winter in Edmonton,
Canada, the Arctic Ocean used about the same
amount of energy as a regular Arctic Spa. You can
also make the Arctic Ocean virtually maintenance free
with the Arctic Onzen Saltwater System. It can also be
outfitted with our lighting packages, the Aqua Tremor
Stereo, the Arctic Wireless TV, and every other option
available on the Arctic Spa. The Arctic Ocean can also
be set directly on level solid ground because of the
Forever Floor, eliminating the need to pour a concrete
pad.

KATE'S KITCHEN
Pumpkin Cheesecake
Ingredients
12 T unsalted butter, melted
2-1/2 C graham cracker crumbs
2-3/4 C sugar
Salt
2 lbs. cream cheese, at room temperature
1/4 C sour cream
1 15-ounce can pure pumpkin
6 large eggs, at room temperature, lightly beaten
1 T vanilla extract
2-1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp ground cloves
2 C sweetened whipped cream
1/3 C toasted pecans, roughly chopped
Directions
Position a rack in the center of the oven and preheat to
325 degrees Fahrenheit.
Brush a 10-inch springform pan with some of the
butter. Stir the remaining butter with the crumbs, 1/4
cup of the sugar and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Press
the crumb mixture into the bottom and up the sides of
the pan, packing it tightly and evenly. Bake until golden
brown, 15 to 20 minutes. Cool on a rack, then wrap
the outside of the springform pan with foil and place in
a roasting pan.
Bring a medium pot of water to a boil. Meanwhile, beat
the cream cheese with a mixer until smooth. Add the
remaining 2 1/2 cups sugar and beat until just light,
scraping down the sides of the bowl and beaters as
needed. Beat in the sour cream, then add the
pumpkin, eggs, vanilla, 1 teaspoon salt and the
spices and beat until just combined. Pour into the
cooled crust.
Gently place the roasting pan in the oven (don't pull
the rack out) and pour the boiling water into the
roasting pan until it comes about halfway up the side
of the springform pan. Bake until the outside of the
cheesecake sets but the center is still loose, about 1
hour 45 minutes. Turn off the oven and open the door
briefly to let out some heat. Leave the cheesecake in
the oven for 1 more hour, then carefully remove from
the roasting pan and cool on a rack. Run a knife
around the edges, cover and refrigerate at least 8
hours or overnight.
Bring the cheesecake to room temperature 30
minutes before serving. Unlock and remove the
springform ring. To finish, place a dollop of the
whipped cream on each slice and sprinkle with the
toasted pecans.
